Ms. Wang prepared herself well for the ownership position at UCI Architects. Subsequent to obtaining a Bachelor of Architecture from Syracuse University, Ms. Wang worked for several architecture firms, including an award winning firm in New York City, and participated in advanced education seminars in Europe and Asia. She further developed her specialization by completing a graduate degree in Historic Preservation at the University of Pennsylvania where she was the inaugural recipient of the David De Long Fellowship.
Ms. Wang has led projects ranging from state-of-the-art academic facilities to the restoration of a late 19th century station house. Her management skills facilitate good collaborations resulting in successful projects by creating clear lines of communication between designers, clients, engineers, end users, and regulatory entities.
Ms. Wang’s practical knowledge in sensitive interventions to existing structures and new construction in a historic context is attuned to the evolving requirements of today’s occupants. Her designs adhere to the guidelines of the preservation community and building codes while recognizing the importance of evolving environmental and cultural concerns. She is guiding UCI Architects, Inc. to the next level of leadership by building on the firm’s extensive and diverse experience.
At the helm of UCI Architects, Ms. Wang is ready, able and poised to lead the firm to a higher plateau of architecture practice with quality work, technical competence and design excellence.
